In this colorful world, there are millions of visually impaired people who cannot see the world. Technology is evolving but its benefits are not known to those who need it. This paper proposed to assist the blind people to do their daily routine activities and to face the challenges and struggle with the help of object detection. This will guide blind people to steer independently without assistance by real-time object detection system using supervised learning algorithm. Voice conversion technique is used to help the person to know the objects in the surrounding. The proposed embedded based object classification consists of web cam and KNN classifier. The web cam captures the real time object images and the acquisitioned images are forwarded into the personal computer. The displayed objects name will convert into voice by text to speech conversion technique. Visually impaired people can experience the world through the audio world, making it a viable option.
