Motion Estimation (ME) is a crucial aspect of real-time video coding, as it effectively eliminates redundancy in the temporal domain in a video. ME adopting Block matching algorithm (BMA) is more frequently used. This abstract introduces an efficient approach for interframe motion estimation, aiming to minimize computational overhead in estimating motion vectors between consecutive video frames. The proposed method incorporates two novel ME techniques and a hybrid ME techniques. The proposed method attains less than 63% of computational savings while maintaining comparable video quality, making it a promising solution for real-time video coding applications.
