Noise Reduction Techniques Applied in EEG Multichannel System

Hector Montenegro, Volodymyr I. Ponomaryov, Leonardo Badillo · 2006

This article presents the design of a portable Electroencephalographic (EEG) signal monitoring system. A standard EEG registers the biological signals that have to be amplified in some thousand times, so this demands the necessity of using very low offset amplifiers and different techniques for reduction of noise interference. We also use different techniques of reducing and avoiding common mode voltages of electromagnetic interference. The 16 channels EEG system has been designed by using low power consumption circuits. We also analyze a transmission of EEG signals via Internet.
