Optimizing content delivery in IoMT: Leveraging in-network caching with CDR

As the number of IoMT applications increasing day by day the data generated by the IoMT devices also increases. Managing the huge amount of medical data and improving network performance while reducing the data retrieval delay becomes a major challenge in the IoMT. To overcome this challenge this work uses ICN innetwork caching in IoMT to enable edge devices to cache content and satisfy future requests. Further introduced content diversity-aware cache replacement strategy to evict unwanted content from the cache. The performance evaluation of the proposed work demonstrates efficiency in Cache Hit Ratio (CHR), Content Retrieval Delay (CRD), and Energy Consumption (EC) when compared to existing works.
