Dr Manveer Kaur · African Journal of Biomedical Research · 2025

The implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has initiated a transformative shift in the Indian education system, especially in promoting innovation, enhancing research, and incorporating digital learning methods. NEP 2020 seeks to address disparities in conventional education by prioritizing fair access, skill-oriented learning, and technological integration, thereby equipping students for a swiftly changing global environment. This digital transition has highlighted significant concerns, especially in the area of cyber security. The emergence of contemporary technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and digital learning platforms has markedly improved the accessibility and efficacy of education, while concurrently heightening susceptibility to cyber threats including data breaches, privacy infringements, and misinformation. This paper examines developing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, investigating the complex obstacles that NEP 2020 and AI-driven education systems may face in the future, while offering effective solutions to reduce these risks and ensuring a secure and sustainable digital education ecosystem.
