Neural Dynamics for Computing and Automation: A Survey

Neural dynamics have achieved great advancements in the past decade, and find their applications in computing and automation. Although there are some existing survey papers on neural dynamics, to our knowledge, there is no survey covering its applications on computing and automation in the last decade at the same time. Having a clear picture of this aspect would help researchers identify the research gaps in the area of neural dynamics. In this paper, we provide a review of the development of neural dynamics for computing and automation. For each application area, we classify the detailed problems and provide an analysis of the current neural dynamic methods or models. We also identify some interesting research topics and directions for further investigation.
