Discussion of some of the successful case studies gives better clarity. The chapter continues similarly with Crowdsourcing, followed by looking at the core features and diverse applications with examples. Proceeding further to the Convergence of Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing, we look at the benefits and challenges of such integration, touching on the implication for R& D. The Chapter also addresses the role of technology and gives some examples. Finally, the chapter concludes on the transformative impact of R&D and dwells upon future trends and opportunities.
