Selecting Nodes to Protect in Interdependent Networks Using Shapley Value Analysis
Koki Matsui, Tatsuhiro Tsuchiya · 2024
This study aims to solve the problem of selecting a given number of nodes to protect and minimize the impact of the initial failures of unprotected nodes in interdependent networks. We propose a method for quantifying the impact of each node by the Shapley values, a concept from the cooperative game, considering the probability of initial node failures. This method allows us to select the nodes with the highest impact in order. We conducted simulation experiments to evaluate the proposed method.
