Cyber bullying is a growing issue, causing significant psychological harm across various demographics. Traditional methods of combating it struggle to keep pace with evolving technology and tactics. Recent advancements in Generative AI, particularly LLMs, offer new opportunities for prevention, intervention, and support. This paper explores how LLMs can improve detection of harmful online content, identify bullying patterns using natural language processing, and enhance reporting systems. LLMs also provide immediate support to victims through AI-driven chatbots, offering a safe space to share experiences and receive resources. In educational settings, LLMs can foster digital literacy and resilience, promoting empathy and responsible online behavior. Ethical concerns like privacy and bias must be addressed to ensure AI is used positively. Case studies demonstrate LLMs' success in mitigating cyber bullying across platforms. Ultimately, LLMs offer promising tools for a safer online environment, requiring ongoing research, innovation, and collaboration for effective implementation.
