The study aims to describe a methodology for teaching oral summarization to translators in the field of professional communication using web resources on aviation topics. The article proposes a comprehen-sive approach to the object of study, taking into account the heterogeneous nature of information, and de-scribes the specifics of working with three types of texts: graphic, auditory, and audiovisual. The work defines and characterizes summarization as an integrative communicative skill, as well as the methods of its formation. The novelty of the study lies in the justification of teaching oral summarization to translators based on diverse-format web resources and the description of a typology of these resources in the military aviation specialty. As a result, a system of exercises and methodological techniques is proposed, aimed at the interconnected teaching of reading and listening as the basis for preparing oral summary.
