With the increasing number of computers in institutions, it has become essential to have effective tools for their remote management. This paper presents an analysis of existing remote management solutions. Based on this analysis, we designed and next implemented a system for managing the Windows operating system, as it is more widespread and commonly used than other operating systems. The created system consists of two applications. The management application is installed on the administrator's computer and, thanks to its intuitive and clear design, allows the administrator to easily manage computers, send messages, and transfer files to remote devices. It also provides confirmations of successful command executions, ensuring efficient management. On the other hand, the devices have an assistant application installed, which communicates with the management application and performs tasks sent from the management application, subsequently returning diagnostic information about the system's basic elements and processes to the administrator. This system simplifies the remote management of multiple devices by using basic functions that can be executed on multiple devices simultaneously. The resulting system was deployed in a vocational secondary school and a public regional library for testing and subsequent improvement.
