This study provides an overview of articles published over the last 6 years on elliptic curves and chaotic functions, focussing on trends in encryption algorithms and data types. Graphical representations and comparative tables illustrate the robustness of these techniques across different years and data types. The results show that, in 2023, 47% of studies focussed on elliptic curves, compared to 23% in 2022. Over 40% of researchers employed hybridization techniques, with over 58 % proposing novel hybrid encryption systems, particularly for image encryption. These findings underscore the need for further research on dynamic encryption systems integrating elliptic curves.
