Aryan Rai, M Hanmanthu Naik, Ida Seraphim B · 2024
This study investigates the utilization of blockchain technology for the secure and transparent management of healthcare data. Utilizing the immutable and decentralized characteristics of blockchain, the proposed system guarantees stringent access control and adherence to GDPR and HIPAA standards. Smart contracts facilitate automated data transfer, allowing patients to retain control over their medical records while granting healthcare organizations secure and verifiable access. This paper emphasizes blockchain's disruptive potential in establishing a scalable, secure, and patientcentric healthcare ecosystem by tackling issues such as data breaches, illegal access, and the lack of interoperability in conventional systems.
