As is known to all, the topology of network plays an important role in determining a network’s dynamics and function. In this paper, the topology identification problem of weighted general complex dynamical networks with saturated inputs is addressed. First, we establish an original network and design a saturation function to describe a simple nonlinear phenomenon of saturated-input. Then an observer network with the same number of nodes and node dynamics as the original network is designed, using the state errors between the original network and the observer network as feedback. Second, based on the Lyapunov stability theory and LaSalle’s invariance principle, an adaptive saturation identification controller is designed, and the topology of the original network is successfully identified by constructing a drive-response network. Finally, some numerical simulations are developed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
