Evaluating the Security Framework of the Arrest Records Management System (ARMS): An In-Depth Analysis for Improved Resilience
William Penaflor Rey, Althea Jodie B. Labayan · 2024
The fast growth of the Arrest Records Management System (ARMS) creates both opportunities and challenges for establishing strong security measures. This study takes a comprehensive approach, combining examinations from Qualys SSL Labs, CryptCheck, and ImmuniWeb to evaluate ARMS's current security posture completely. The findings show robust cryptographic underpinnings, compliance with industry standards, and a desirable online security profile. However, areas for improvement, particularly in SSL/TLS settings, have been discovered. The synthesized results aim to provide a comprehensive picture while also giving practical insights to strengthen ARMS' resistance against evolving cybersecurity threats. This study helps to advance our understanding of the effectiveness of security assessment tools and provides practical recommendations for improving biometric identity systems in the mobile realm.
