Impacto de la computación en la nube en la gestión de grandes volúmenes de datos

Cloud computing is a technological solution that allows managing large volumes of data, standing out for its scalability, flexibility and ability to reduce costs. This study aimed to analyze its impact on large-scale data management through a literature review of recent research in the Scopus database, using keywords such as “cloud AND computing, impact, management” in a time range from 2019 to 2023, obtaining 1421 relevant papers. The results identified three key benefits: the ability to scale resources on demand, optimizing operational costs, and promoting real-time global collaboration. However, significant challenges were also highlighted, such as security and privacy concerns, dependency on external vendors, and connectivity requirements. The discussion underscores that while cloud computing represents a powerful tool for digital transformation, its adoption requires robust strategies to address the associated risks. In conclusion, this technology is positioned as a crucial enabler for organizational innovation and competitiveness, provided that proactive approaches are adopted to mitigate its inherent challenges.
