This research study intends to create an intelligent, automated power management system meant to maximize hostel room security and energy use. Using occupancy sensing, the system automatically controls power supply to guarantee that only required energy is consumed. The project also incorporates a safe door lock detection system by combining RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) and NFC (Near-Field Communication) technology, therefore enabling smart power settings depending on the resident's unique RFID tag. The system includes a MQ-9 gas sensor that detects gas leaks, so initiating an automated power cutoff and warning occupants, and ultrasonic sensors for occupancy detection, so enhancing safety. Designed to be scalable and reasonably affordable, the solution fits well in many hostel settings. Automating access management and letting homeowners’ control and monitor their power settings via a mobile app linked via a Wi-Fi module gives user convenience priority. This function lets one remotely manage power use, therefore guaranteeing a flawless combination of ease, energy economy, and security. This project provides, all things considered, a clever, scalable hostel administration system.
