Network Security Threat Prevention and Control System for Wind Farm Power Monitoring System

Lianghao Huang, Weiquan Ye, Jian-Wei He · 2024

Nowadays, with the development of network technology, the security of wind farm power monitoring systems is facing serious threats. This article presents the design of a wind farm power monitoring system, which utilizes IDS (Intrusion Detection System) to monitor network traffic in real-time, monitor abnormal behaviors in the network, and provide early warning for possible attack behaviors, as well as intercept and alert them. Multiple layers of protective devices can be deployed, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, intrusion defense systems, etc. This system refers to the monitoring of the stability of various systems and equipment in the production control area and information management area of wind farms, ensuring the normal operation of various links such as power generation, transformation, and transmission, and providing stable electrical energy for the power grid. This article helps guide grid connected power plants to carry out network security operation improvement work.
