The cooperative operation of multi-measuring vessels improves measurement efficiency and accuracy, but optimizing their arrangement and coverage is still a key technical challenge in engineering surveying. In this study, mathematical methods such as the sine theorem in plane geometry and the relationship of similar triangles are used to establish a mathematical model of the coverage width of two-dimensional multibeam bathymetry and the overlap rate between neighboring strips, and then a mathematical model of the coverage width of three-dimensional multibeam bathymetry is built by three-dimensionally transforming the two-dimensional model. An integer planning model of 0-1 is set up to solve the problem of survey line deployment, and the number of survey lines is calculated to be 33 within the rectangular sea area. The uniform wiring method and the above model were used to lay lines in the flat and sloping sea area, and the final number of lines in the given sea area was 38, with a total length of 190 nautical miles.
