Organizations have more difficulties in today’s digitally-driven environment protecting their software systems against cyberattacks while preserving dependability and effectiveness. In order to improve the security posture of software development and operations, this article investigates the combination of DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts. While DevSecOps extends DevOps methods to integrate security across the development lifecycle, SRE focuses on automation, scalability, and dependability. Combining these approaches allows firms to create a comprehensive strategy that puts efficiency, security, and dependability first. This article presents practical advice for implementation and provides insights into the synergies between SRE and DevSecOps through a thorough literature study, theoretical framework building, and methodological analysis. The outcomes demonstrate how combining SRE ideas with DevSecOps techniques may have a revolutionary impact by encouraging teamwork, automation, and continuous development. In today’s changing digital world, this integrated strategy ultimately helps enterprises to lower the risk of cyber attacks, increase overall system resilience, and proactively detect and remediate security vulnerabilities.
