The rise of smart homes, driven by the Internet of Things (IoT), promises enhanced convenience and efficiency but also presents significant security challenges. This paper, “A Simulation-Based Analysis of IoT Security Architecture in Smart Homes,” investigates the effectiveness of different IoT security architectures in smart homes through simulation. By simulating potential attacks and analyzing their impact, the research identifies weaknesses and proposes more se- cure systems. Furthermore, the integration of Hyperledger Fabric technology into the smart home framework is explored, highlighting its potential to provide robust encryption, secure authentication, and advanced threat detection across all IoT architecture layers. This integration ensures a highly secure and efficient environment for IoT devices and user interactions within the smart home ecosystem This study aims to contribute to the development of secure, reliable, and efficient smart home systems capable of withstanding the increasing complexity and connectivity of IoT devices. this study paves the way for a safer and more secure future for smart home technology, leveraging both simulation-based insights and cutting-edge blockchain solutions.
