The advancement of the Internet of Things (IoT) has developed many opportunities, but it has also generated new attack vectors and vulnerabilities that could jeopardise the availability, confidentiality of linked systems. The IoT is a prospective technology that links living and non-living objects globally. IoT adoption is accelerating, but there are still security gaps that leave it vulnerable to several cyberattacks. A properly secure network is essential to any network’s success; otherwise, users may be unwilling to use this technology. Creating a secure IoT environment is a difficult task that calls for a methodical, comprehensive strategy to recognise and address possible security risks. In this sense, cybersecurity research considerations are crucial since they serve as the basis for creating and putting into practice security solutions that can handle new threats. Scientists must first create strict security criteria that provide the basis for creating safe chipsets, devices, and networks in order to create a secure Internet of Things ecosystem. Consequently, the product of the effort may be called a “conclusion of the conclusions,” a more comprehensive and condensed set of data and suggestions for the scientific community. This content acts as a baseline for stakeholders utilising and implementing the recommended strategies, as well as for future study on IoT cybersecurity.
