The increasing use of cloud computing and the resulting rise in data centers and hosting centers have brought forth many concerns regarding security. Correspondingly, the Cyber security is still considered as an essential concern restraining the well-known acceptance of cloud computing. Although the cloud based applications are flooding the web with enormous opportunities, these expanding opportunities are however coming with the large challenges at the part of security and privacy. Objective of this paper is to cover the futuristic cloud computing security concerns, associated threats, as well as the approaches and techniques to address them. As the most cloud computing deployments are in the shape of private, public and hybrid cloud deployments, the cyber security challenges may differ in each case. A comparative analysis of the security challenges associated with the private, public and hybrid cloud deployments have been presented from the technological and managerial perspectives. It draws attention to the security needs of each of the deployments and the specific challenges. A number of use cases and examples have been added to further illustrate the security needs.
