The Application of Computer-Aided Drug Design Technology in Drug Development

Moxiao Cui · 2024

In recent years, Given the speed at which bioinformatics and computer technologies are developing, Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) has made tremendous progress. CADD involves the rational design of drugs by calculating the interactions between ligands and receptors, including Structure-Based Drug Design (SBDD), Fragment-Based Drug Design (FBDD), and Ligand-Based Drug Design (LBDD). This article reviews and discusses the multifaceted applications of CADD in drug development, analyzes its thoughts and explorations in improving the efficiency of drug development, and explores the future development trends and potential challenges of these technologies.
