Blockchain and IoT for data privacy in the 6G network

Bhupinder Singh, Vishal Kumar Jain, Christian Kaunert · 2025

The impending deployment of 6G networks brings forth a new era of connectivity, which promises unprecedented data speeds and connectivity for a wide array of devices through the Internet of Things (IoT). The rise of the IoT has made ubiquitous computing a reality by connecting a vast number of intelligent, autonomous gadgets for a variety of uses. IoT technology with 6G support offers a framework for quick and latency-free data processing and gathering. In a world with increased connection, there are still problems to be solved, especially those related to security and privacy. Furthermore, the conventional centralized design frequently fails to handle issues related to device compatibility, access control management, potential single points of failure, and high computational cost. This chapter comprehensively explores the various dimensions of the blockchain and the IoT for data privacy in the 6G network.
