One-Dimensional CNN Model for Intrusion Detection in Industrial IoT Networks

In the age of IoT, security measures specific to industrial IoT are now becoming very important as its impact on security is significantly larger compared small, household IoT systems. To enhance security of industrial IoT systems, we propose an intrusion detection system (IDS) based on one-dimensional convolutional neural network, with two convolutional layers. Evaluation results showed that our model can significantly improve the accuracy of intrusion detection in real industrial IoT security dataset, and thus can be used practically in real industrial IoT scenarios.
