A ML Based Approach to Quantum Augmented HTTP Protocol

Nitin Jha, Abhishek Parakh, Mahadevan Subramanian · 2024

In the past decade, there have been several small-scale quantum key distribution networks established across the world. However, the scalability of large-scale quantum networks depends on the development of quantum repeaters, quantum channels, quantum memories, and quantum network protocols. To improve the security of existing networks and adopt currently feasible quantum technologies, the augmentation of classical networks with quantum devices, properties, and phenomena is the likely next step. In this work, we propose a change in the structure of the data packet for the HTTP protocol, a possible modification of the end-to-end encryption methods in the network, and proposed optimized bandwidth allocation between the quantum and classical channels for specifically busy network routes.
