Microservices architecture has been widely adopted as a tool to build scalable, maintainable, and flexible backend systems. It provides a method for software development where large and complex applications are split into smaller and independent services making them more manageable and scalable. But High Performance is one of the key challenges faced in microservices, especially, in terms of inter-service communication. This results in latency and non-responsiveness, which can reduce the user experience of the software packages and the overall efficiency of the system. Caching, particularly when used to avoid unnecessary database calls and to reduce service-to-service communication, is the traditional solution to this problem. Based on that, it is going to study different types/caches such as in-memory, distributed and hybrid approaches across microservices environment. This paper then performs an extensive literature review and experimental evaluation of how these caching strategies impact performance and sc alability on real-world use cases. It also discusses the compromises made by each approach in terms of consistency, availability, and partition tolerance, and provides useful recommendations and guidelines for the performance tuning of systems beyond the microservice styles. Keywords: Microservices, Caching Strategies, Performance Optimization, Latency Reduction, Scalability, Distributed Systems, Service Communication, Data Caching.
