A Computation Model of Coupled Earth Return Circuits
H.‐J. Haubrich, Wojciech Machczyński · 1992
The paper presents a universal, exact physical - mathematical model able to simulate an interference of any given complexity from external electric and magnetic fields on nearby system of coupled earth return circuits (cables, pipelines). The model in the form of a system of active two-ports (segments of the subjected earth return circuits) with current sources representing the external influence (modified by the coupling conditions) enables one to calculate any interference. A necessary presupposition, however, is the existance of homogeneous line sections with quasi-uniform exposure to the influencing field. The model may be useful for any kind of influence i.e. conductive and inductive, in many practical cases, which are connected with power supply systems, electric traction and cathodic protection as well.
