The Prediction of the Voltage and Current Levels Induced in the Aircraft Side Circuits Struck by the Lightning
V. I. Kravchenko · 1990
This article describes the methods of estimation the voltage levels induced in the side circuits of the aircraft struck by the lightning. It also, describes the interaction of the lightning currents flowing through the fuselage and the aircraft wings with the communication lines layed in them. The voltages induced in this circuits have been determined taking into account the wing geometry, fuselage shape and the availability of slots in wings and apertures in fuselage. The determination technique of voltages induced by the lightning currents in the aircraft side circuits is brought up to the engineering design level. The realiability of the technique developed is confirmed experimentally with the results discordance not more than 15%.
