Shamneesh Sharma, Nidhi Mishra · AIP conference proceedings · 2026

The implementation of forward-thinking technology such as blockchain has the potential to play a role in the successful management of metropolitan areas as well as the resolution of societal problems. The distributed ledger technology in blockchain mechanisms makes it possible for users of a network to exchange data in a manner that is both reliable and transparent to outside observers. The requirement for a central administrator has therefore been removed, which paves the way for this possibility. It is essential for the various stakeholders in urban areas to connect with one another and share data to ensure the delivery of extremely convenient urban services. There are many different stakeholders in urban areas. The purpose of this paper is to define research constituents in the field of Integrating Blockchain Technology into Smart Cities for the Purpose of Information Security. To demonstrate that there is a requirement for the Integration of Blockchain Technology into Smart Cities, the researchers have utilized the corpus that was retrieved from the Scopus database and carried out a statistical retrospection on it.
