Generalisation of the Transfer Impedance

A. Guerroui, J. C. Peuch, Henry Baudrand · 1990

The generalization of the notion of transfer impedance is proposed by means of a surface impedance. This is achieved by establishing the equivalence of losses or power transfer between two structures. A proportionality relationship between their amplitudes shows that Zs is rather independent of the structure geometry. Its application to the calculation of more complex structures is possible by appropriate modelling. The expression of Zs is given for a cylindroconical shielding from which the shielding of a circular connector with a nonuniform cross-section will be deduced.
