Integrating Consortium Blockchain and Mimic Security in Distributed Storage System

Hui Li, Han Wang · 2024

This chapter presents an engineering design of a mimic distributed secure storage system integrating consortium blockchain. It first analyzes the background and requirements. The system principle, architecture, and core functions of the mimic storage approach are discussed to endogenously ensure data security across diverse storage devices. Furthermore, a blockchain-based logging system using Parallel Proof of Vote (PPoV) consensus is explored to record storage activities on the distributed ledger. This chapter aims to provide a comprehensive implementation of combining blockchain's security and transparency with distributed storage systems to mitigate risks from unknown vulnerabilities.
