Artificial intelligence and making of contracts

This chapter analyzes the use of autonomous artificial intelligence in contracts and their making, which are known as smart contracts. This is a tremendously controversial topic. It starts with definitions of the concepts to be used and then goes on to review different aspects of the making of these contracts. Next, the risks that these contracts may entail and the arguments of those who are in favor of their use are analyzed. Recommendations are then made on the use of this new type of contracts in accordance with the rules of law. The chapter ends with conclusions.
