Designing and implementing a control system for a mobile service robot that operates in remote and harsh environments requires low latency and a reliable communication system. Current generation mobile networks such as 4G and 5G can be a perfect solution for achieving this goal. Thus, studying and developing mobile communication systems is a crucial milestone in the real-time two-way human-robot interaction. This paper presents a method to measure and study link speeds and latencies over mobile operators in latest generation mobile networks.
