Aimed to research the characteristic of shortwave power amplifier with temperature, the temperature experiments are performed at$-25\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}, 0\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}, 25\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$and$55\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$. The results showed that with the temperature increasing from$-25\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$to$55\ {}^{\circ}\mathrm{C}$, there is a significant downward trend for its performance. In detail, the$\mathrm{I}_{\text{ds}}$, Pout, gain, PAE and IM decrease 1.2$\mathrm{A}, 1.2\ \text{dB}$, 1.2$\text{dB}, 0.69$% and 3 dB in 16 MHz, respectively. These results indicate that the performance of this 1000 W shortwave PA is significantly affected with temperature variation. Therefore, the corresponding remedy measure is designed to counteract the index degradation of this 1000 W shortwave P A. This can provide important guidance for the reliability design of 1000 W shortwave power amplifier.
