With the rapid construction of large-scale new energy, large-scale real-time simulation technology faces more severe challenges. This paper focuses on the study of large-scale photovoltaic clusters with a capacity of tens of millions of kilowatts, via HVDC transmission systems. It conducts equivalent modeling and real-time simulation experiments for clusters consisting of thousands or even tens of thousands of photovoltaic generating units. Firstly, the paper introduces the general networking structure of large-scale photovoltaic cluster systems and the control strategies for photovoltaic generating units. Subsequently, it proposes the establishment of an equivalent simulation model for the collection line and a hard-ware-in-the-loop simulation test method, and establishes a real-time simulation comparison test platform. Finally, based on the RTDS platform, a computing resource allocation scheme for the photovoltaic collection line subsystem is designed, and real-time simulation model comparison experiments are conducted before and after the equivalence of photovoltaic generating units, providing a reference case for the application of system-level real-time simulation technology.
