Satoshi Izumiya, Takashi Furukawa, Okino Kenta · 2024
This study focuses on a compensation calculation model for utilizing residential storage batteries to alleviate grid congestion caused by increased renewable energy generation, particularly solar power. Currently, residential storage batteries are mainly used to reduce electricity bills. The model calculates the marginal kW compensation, considering opportunity loss of reducing the electricity bills and the shortfall in the kWh compensation due to the difference in the forecast and confirmed notifications. Simulations based on past consumption, generation data, and market prices are conducted to evaluate the marginal kW compensation. The results show the potential for economically utilizing residential storage batteries to alleviate grid congestion.
