Academic circles have grown to embrace wearable technology since everyone wears something on their body and their use in teaching-learning context has benefits and limitations. Thus, these devices can facilitate teaching and learning experiences still, they add new risks to cybersecurity. Hence, this chapter presents a detailed cybersecurity framework that can be adopted for education institutions with an integration of wearable technology. Potential concerns are considered, threats are contained, and meaningful instructions for learners and teachers are given to reduce threats and ensure that learning takes place in a safe environment. The chapter delves into the unique characteristics and vulnerabilities of wearable devices, analyzes existing cybersecurity frameworks, and presents a comprehensive framework with key components: Wearable Device Security Assessment, Data Privacy and Protection, Cyberspace Security Awareness and Education as well as Management of Security Incidents and Breaches.
