Yoga is recognized for its benefits in stress reduction and overall well-being, positively influencing brain function and body chemistry, according to research. Surya Namaskara, or Sun Salutation, is a fundamental sequence in yoga that combines physical postures, breathing techniques, and mindfulness, promoting physical and mental balance. This study presents a real-time pose recognition and correction system utilizing MediaPipe to enhance performance in practicing the 12 postures of Surya Namaskara. The method achieves an overall accuracy rate of $\mathbf{9 4. 2 \%}$ in classifying poses such as Ashwa Sanchalanasana, Dandasana, and Bhujangasana by identifying key body landmarks and calculating joint angles. In contrast, PoseNet shows an accuracy of 88.5%, struggling with complex movements and increased latency. MediaPipe offers superior precision and real-time tracking. This method identifies necessary corrections and provides clear guidance on how many degrees the user should adjust their posture for optimal alignment, ultimately enhancing the practice and effectiveness of yoga.
