Experimental demonstration of an all-optical laser neuron on a generic InP technology platform

An integrated laser neuron fabricated on a generic InP technology platform shows the required operations of an all-optical neuron. Under optical pulse injection, an excitable response, the relative refractory period, as well as subthreshold triggering are demonstrated.
