Strategic Control of Legislative Networks
Marta Matrakova · 2024
This chapter explores the use of legislative networks and their role within the framework of democratisation, norm diffusion and Europeanisation. It discusses how social network analysis and process-tracing methodologies can be combined to examine reform processes in post-Soviet countries. The author argues that an in-depth examination of the legislative networks responsible for drafting political reforms offers valuable perspectives on the potential for effective norm implementation and internalisation. Furthermore, this chapter introduces the three political systems in Armenia, Georgia and Moldova, outlining the central characteristics of the legislative networks in each country.
