The Internet of Things (IoT) connects billions of devices, transforming industries and daily life through enhanced automation and data sharing. However, this interconnectivity introduces significant privacy challenges, such as unauthorized data collection, surveillance risks, and potential data breaches. This review explores privacy vulnerabilities across device, network, and cloud layers and evaluates solutions like encryption, access control, and blockchain. It also highlights emerging technologies and regulatory frameworks aimed at strengthening IoT privacy. By identifying research gaps, this paper provides actionable insights for developing secure and privacy - centric IoT systems.
