This paper presents the Dual Frequency Dual Constellation GNSS/INS Tight Coupling (TC) architecture developed by Civitanavi Systems, as a preliminary step towards implementing an Ultra Tight Coupling (UTC) navigation system. As part of its strategic development plan, Civitanavi Systems aims to design and manufacture proprietary GNSS/INS modules at various levels of integration. After a high-level discussion of the Dual Frequency Multiple Constellation (DFMC) GNSS/INS Tight Coupling prototype, the paper discusses the results of several tests conducted both in controlled environments and real-world scenarios. These results are compared with those obtained using Loose Coupling (LC) integration, highlighting the superior performance of the TC solution. The results presented are part of the GAUSSIAN project11Galileo AUthentication and GNSS/INS platforms for Secure and Safe services In Air Navigation and mobility (GAUSSIAN).
