Cloud computing is a vital domain of research. The vast use of applications is emerging day by day in this area. The distribution for balancing of load in cloud servers is not done in a balanced way. Therefore, the concept and technique of load balancing are introduced to uniformly circulate the load amongst the cloud servers. In this chapter, we are going to consider the goals of load balancing and its aim. Along with that, we have also discussed the various algorithms used in load balancing. Cloud computing needs much security in keeping the data in the operation of action. For safety reasons, several types of encryption techniques are used. In this chapter, descriptions of different techniques used for balancing the load of cloud computing with the virtualization techniques are mentioned. Load balancing takes part as an important role in cloud computing by distributing a load of various servers uniformly. This chapter is also going to focus on the balancing of load in dynamic mode using algorithms and how these algorithms are impacting the virtualization in cloud computing architecture. Virtual machines are defined as the building blocks of cloud computing. Virtual CPU co-scheduling for VM optimization can be used. The focus of virtualization is the potential to pass more than one virtual machines on a single device by dividing all the materials that belong to the hardware. The main objective of any migration technique should be to decrease the total relocation time and time-out period. Virtualization is taking control of balancing the load in the complete system, arranging and well-organized allotment of resources. The Virtual Machine Monitor (VMM) is the concept of using multiple operating systems in a single host. The two types of virtualization techniques are used in cloud computing – The challenge of a virtual machine is the live migration in optimum time from one host to another without interrupting the other hosts. The role of virtualization in balancing the load is also discussed in this chapter. Balancing of load in dynamic mode for the entire system and the scheduling of the servers are discussed here. Some of the load-balancing algorithms with virtualization techniques are discussed in this chapter.
