In 2021, the term "metaverse" burst onto the scene, quickly capturing the public's imagination. This digital and virtual realm offers a space where people can interact through digital avatars, reflecting society's desire for a virtual existence. The allure of the metaverse lies in its promise of an immersive escape: a fantastical domain where individuals can break free from the physical world's limitations, create their own norms, and find temporary respite from real-world pressures. Despite its rapid rise in popularity, the metaverse's definition remains elusive, and the current state of technology infrastructure poses significant challenges to its widespread adoption. Research into the metaverse is still evolving and lacks a unified theoretical framework to guide the design of these virtual spaces. Moreover, existing technology faces considerable obstacles in supporting millions of users simultaneously in these environments.
