This chapter critically assesses the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Indian film industry across its entire production spectrum, encompassing preproduction, production, and post-production phases. Within an increasing technologically centric entertainment landscape, the convergence of AI and cinema signifies a crucial paradigm shift. Despite India's rich cinematic legacy, the assimilation of AI poses multifaceted challenges. Through a rigorous inquiry, this study probes AI's capacity to augment creative processes and operational efficiency, while also confronting pertinent ethical dilemmas. Drawing upon structured interviews and secondary source analysis, it offers a holistic examination of current AI practices, their implications, and anticipates future trajectories. By synthesizing insights from interdisciplinary domains, this chapter elucidates the complex interplay between technology and artistic expression, offering practical guidance for navigating technological advancements in Indian cinema.
