UWB and EMP Susceptibility of Microprocessors and Networks

In this paper a statistical broad band approach for the description of the coupling of transient electromagnetic fields to PCB structures is given and validated through measurements. Additionaly the susceptibility of some choosen microprocessor boards and computer networks with different communication cables and standards vs different fast transient electromagnetic fields is determined and discussed.
