Hand Gesture presents a gesture-controlled virtual mouse system that uses computer vision and hand-tracking techniques to provide advanced user interactions with a computer. This is done by tracking the user’s hand movements in real-time, using OpenCV and Mediapipe, interpreting certain gestures as moving the cursor, scrolling, left-clicking, or right-clicking on the mouse. This application captures the hand movements by using system webcam. It involves recognizing finger positions in a pose and hand landmarks so as to execute relevant mouse commands. It is an approach that makes it possible for one to use their personal computer without touching it. This will enhance both accessibility and user experience. The application is wide-ranging such as touchless interfaces, interactivity tools for people with disabilities and inventive human-computer.
