In today’s world, providing medication and healthcare to elderly and visually impaired people (VIP) presents significant challenges due to their need for independence and the management of chronic health conditions. Regular visits to healthcare centers can be very challenging for elderly individuals and specially abled patients residing in rural areas due to disabilities and long travel distances. This project is an innovative mobile application combined with IoT technology designed to address these challenges. MedNexus offers a comprehensive health monitoring and reminder system, providing timely medication alerts through an IoT-based system. The application includes a feature for emergency alerts, which notifies caretakers in case of any health abnormalities detected by connected smartwatches. These smartwatches continuously monitor the user’s health parameters, and any deviation from normal values triggers an alert. It also incorporates Quick Response (QR) code technology to improve the accessibility and organization of medical data. Patients can store their medical records and can generate a smart card, featuring a QR code, which can be conveniently accessed through asmartphone. This feature allows secure sharing and access to health information and reports by healthcare providers, ensuring that patient data is readily available during emergencies or routine check-ups. MedNexus aims to reduce the load on elderly and rural patients by offering a reliable, easy-to-use solution for health monitoring and management. By integrating advanced IoT technology and QR code functionality. MedNexus provides a seamless and effective healthcare experience, encouraging better health results and elevating the overall standard of life for elderly and visually impaired individuals.
